In attendance were Nel, Sheila Swinford, Shay Keith, Amy Greer, Cynthia Jacobi, and Marta West.

NOW Board Meeting:
We discussed the need to get the old minutes so that bank accounts and other matters can be transferred. The greatest time was spent discussing our vision or mission for 2019, possible programs in alternative locations or circumstances, and activation of several of the Standing Committees appropriate to our focus and activism.

Special attention should be paid to the Legislative Committee for the next few months. Marta and Amy indicated an interest in that Committee and following up.

Our decision to expand the OCCC Scholarship to 2 students for the Fall 2019 term was voted on, with Cynthia, Nel, and Amy carrying the ball with the College going forward. Amy and Cyndi agreed to meeting with the scholarship person at OCCC to organize preparation for these scholarships. Cyndi will send us the timeline about when the scholarship applicants would be available for the selection committee and when the decision must be submitted to OCCC. Nel volunteered to be on the selection committee to present recommendations to the board.

Meeting adjourned at approximately 4:15.

The Chapter Meeting January 22 will be another session to get member feedback on the year’s priorities and giving interested members/attendees opportunity to shape our activities in 2019.
