We will be presenting a showing of the film “Dolores” in honor of Women’s History Month. Dolores Huerta was a fierce advocate for farm workers in California, starting in the 1950’s. The Central Oregon Coast NOW Chapter felt it was very important to showcase a woman who has fought for immigrant rights, especially now that immigrants and asylum seekers are currently being treated so outrageously by our current Executive Administration.
“Dolores” will be shown at the Bijou Theatre in Lincoln City on March 23rd at 11am. There is no admission and refreshments are available at the theatre.
We encourage donations that will benefit our local Lincoln County advocates for immigrant rights, Centro de Ayuda. Please join us — Dolores just might inspire you!
