Contact Your Senator and Stop Wendy Vitter!

The worst batch of Donald Trump’s judges are coming before the Senate this week, and the worst of the worst is Wendy Vitter.

Wendy Vitter, nominated by Donald Trump to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, has been one of the anti-choice lobby’s most vocal and ambitious advocates—seeking to not only repeal Roe v. Wade but to demonize reproductive justice itself.

Tell your senators to vote against Wendy Vitter and the rest of Donald Trump’s extremist judicial nominees.

For months, Wendy Vitter, Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump have been busy with a smoke and mirrors campaign to obscure Vitter’s ultra-right record. But we know the appalling truth. Vitter has a long record of extreme hostility to reproductive freedom, and she has used her position of prominence to spread dangerous pseudo-science and limit access to reproductive health care.

For example, while moderating a panel called “Abortion Hurts Women’s Health” at the 2013 Louisiana Right to Life Conference, Vitter promoted the junk science theories that abortion is linked to breast cancer and that oral contraceptives can cause women to be assaulted and murdered.

Vitter also spoke at a rally protesting Planned Parenthood and accused the organization of “killing over 150,000 females a year.” When Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) asked Vitter at her confirmation hearing if she stood by those remarks, she refused to give a yes or no answer. “My pro-life stance has been made very clear,” Vitter said.

We cannot allow Wendy Vitter to have control over our access to reproductive healthcare. Take action now.

Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are pushing Wendy Vitter’s nomination to the top of the judicial confirmation pile—because they know her record can’t withstand further scrutiny. But make no mistake, the lifetime appointment of Vitter is a threat to women across the country. Vitter has already proven she will not be an impartial and fair judge, but a judge who will strip women of their reproductive rights one-by-one.

We still have the ability have to block Wendy Vitter’s nomination. Protect women and send a message to your senators right now!
